Highway B (288th Avenue) is scheduled to be CLOSED to through traffic just south of Highway JB (31st Street) in the Town of Brighton from Jan. 8 through late May 2024, as a bridge reconstruction occurs.

 

Drivers are encouraged to use Highway 75 (252nd Avenue) as a north-south alternate.

Town of Brighton Burn Permits

The Brighton Town Hall is open 

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday by Appointment
Town Hall is located at 25000 Burlington Rd., near the northwest corner of Highway 75 and Highway 142. The Town Board holds regular meetings at the Town Hall on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6 p.m. 
Beginning September 2023 Board Meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m.

Effective July 1, 2022, residents in all of Brighton will contact Salem Lakes Fire at 262-620-3880 to request an open burn permit.

Effective January 1, 2023, Brighton residents needing a building permit will contact Justin Border 262-749-8777 or email Bluestoneinspect@gmail.com. Brighton now contracts with Kenosha County for building permits. We wish Don Fox well on his retirement and thank him for his many years of service as Building Inspector to the Town of Brighton!

Please note that recent court decisions have changed allowable methods for returning an absentee ballot.
